Want to view your News Feed without the moving Ticker? Easy! Just view via a Friend List and the Ticker disappears. :) To organize your Friend Lists and Smart Lists, first, go to http://facebook.com/bookmarks/lists (or navigate there by clicking the "More" button way down at the bottom left column on your home page under Lists).

Then click the Edit pencil and choose to Add/Remove Favorite. Favor...ite Lists are placed at the very top left column of your home page, under News Feed. You can rearrange the order too: hover over the lists at the top left > click the edit pencil on any > click Rearrange > drag and drop order > click Done. Voila!

Each of these lists has its own URL (this was always the case with lists), so you can easily save your most favorite list as a bookmark on your browser and make that your default Facebook home page!! See screenshot.

Hope this helps any of my peeps who find the new Home Page and moving Ticker a bit too much! :) Or at least a nice alternate view that is an exact filter of which friends' content you wish to view!

"For more than eight years now I have been using a flatbed scanner instead of a traditional camera to record and interpret the objects I collect. I frequent flea markets and search on Ebay for old tintypes and toys that seem to have a story to tell. Then in my studio I make small pastel drawings as backgrounds and scan each element into my computer separately. Using Photoshop I am able to arrange and play with these layers in much the same way that I worked with objects in my studio for a still life photograph. I work very spontaneously and intuitively, trying to come up with images that have a resonance and a somewhat mysterious narrative content. There is no one meaning for any of the images, rather they exist as a kind of visual riddle or open-ended poem, meant to be both playful and provocative.

Although my images are not traditional photographs, I definitely think of my scanner as a light-sensitive recording device. And there is a camera involved in making most of the images... It just happens that the camera was used over 100 years ago by a photographer who remains anonymous".
